The Coffee Equipment Company is the developer of Clover Coffee, a wonderful beverage made from an automated French press that will soon be found in high-end coffee shops everywhere. The Coffee Equipment Company was aquired by Starbucks Coffee in March 2008. Atlas provided project and financial services, and advised during the transaction.
AdECN's technology serves as a hub where advertising networks can come together in a neutral, real-time auction marketplace for buying and selling display advertising. Acquired July 26th, 2007 by Microsoft. Previously known as Experclick. Mike was an advisor to the company.

SeaDragon is a technology designed for client-server browsing of visual information. The client side presents the user with a dynamic visual environment in which many kinds of objects can be accessed, viewed and interacted with in two or three dimensions.   Acquired in 2006 — We developed the financial model and wrote the business plan. We led the funding effort and successfully closed a $4MM Series B round with Madrona as lead investor. In early 2006, we negotiated the sale of the company to Microsoft and managed the transaction. Mike was the CFO and a director for the company.
E Team is the leading incident management software to government agencies, nonprofit organizations and companies in healthcare, energy and other critical infrastructure sectors.   Acquired in 2005 — we were investors
Callwave CEO, Bob Dolan, hired Atlas to develop comprehensive financial models. Mike also developed a load balancing model for the company's servers. Mike also provided financial strategy, and aided in the third funding round. Mike hired the company's VP, Finance in 1999.   IPO June 2004 — Now public (CALL)
The on-line market maker for technical support.   Acquired in 2004 — Mike led a funding effort and was retained to hire the first 30 employees and the full-time CFO. The company was sold to Citrix for $225MM in March 2004.

The Internet's leading source for bottled water.   Acquired in December 2002 — Mike wrote the business plan for the Bottled Water Web and consulted on the transaction.
Developers of Shake software for digital compositing and visual effects for film.   Acquired by Apple in 1999 — As the consulting CFO, Mike developed financial models, oversaw infrastructure issues, HR and provided strategic advice.
Advanced Polymer research and applications   Acquired by Dupont 1998 — Mike restructured the financial plan and processes, provided strategic, HR, and executive coaching to Alan Heeger. Mike aided in the hiring of a CEO. The company was sold to DuPont in 2000.
Developer of Footprint — a web repeater service.   IPO 1998 — Mike was CFO, advised on the company's business plan and third round funding in late 1997. Later, Mike developed infrastructure and specifications for the financial system. The company was sold to Digital Island (NASDAQ: isld) in Q4 of 1999.
The Internet infrastructure company   IPO 1997 — Mike served as CFO during the company's first year. He completed two acquisitions and developed the finance function, wrote the S-1 and the road show presentation. The company is listed on NASDAQ: OPWV.
